Well ladies and gentleman, 2016 is coming to a close and this will be our last blog post of the year! I think we did pretty well. We thought we would take a look back at what our 2016 resolutions were and if we accomplished any, or all of them.
Here’s a recap of our resolution of 2016 for Liberty Hall Museum:
Resolution #1: We wanted 25,000 visitors in 2016. While we don’t have our final number for the year, we do know that we have over 20,000 visitors.
Resolution #2: Having all of our events sell out. While we didn’t sell out every single event, we did successfully run about 90% of them. We were very pleased to have our History Happy Hour series take off this year and we can’t wait to run them for 2017 along with our new summer series, Uncork History!
Resolution #3: To have our Membership grow to over 250 members. Our membership for the end of 2015 was 100 members. Our count for the end of 2016 is 130. While we didn’t reach our total goal, we did have many members renew their membership which is exciting!
Resolution #4: Partnering with local businesses. While we are still continuing to grow our partnerships, we are thankful to Tommy’s Pizzeria in Elizabeth for being our food vendor at our Pumpkin Patch Day in October, BK Catering in Scotch Plains, for being our exclusive caterer for our Afternoon Teas and special events, the Smarties Candy Company in Union for donating their candy to our Gingerbread House Workshop!
Resolution #5: Donors. We have developed this into a long term goal for Liberty Hall Museum however, we got some great donors for our Kentucky Derby Fundraiser in May.
We are excited to see what 2017 will bring to Liberty Hall Museum and we look forward to seeing you next year!
