Way back Wednesday: WWI in full effect

2017 will mark the 100th anniversary of America entering World War I.  Liberty Hall Museum’s next exhibit will be based on our World War I collection.  We had two Kean family members who served in the war, Captain John Kean (left) and his brother Robert Kean (right).  We have their clothing, letters, books, etc, because the Kean’s are hoarders, in case you haven’t caught on to that yet.  High five for us!  Here are their handsome military photos:

Even though we are a year away, we have started the sorting process of the collection.  We are making small categories that will help us (fingers crossed) find our general theme for the exhibit.  Captain John started collecting any and all memorabilia surrounding the war so not only do we have collection items that pertain to him and his brother, but to the war itself.

Throughout the next year, we will be doing updates on the process of the exhibit so stay tuned to see how it comes to fruition!
